Invime — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
Overview
Invime is designed to work without an account. We collect the minimum
data needed to run the service, and we never sell your data.
Data we collect
- Pseudonymous installation identifier — a random UUID generated on first
launch. Usage and purchase events are associated with this identifier, but it is not
linked to your name, email, or Apple ID and is never used for cross-app tracking.
- Your skin data — your full skin profile, product experiences,
reaction notes, routines, and wishlist are stored locally on your device.
There is no account and we do not keep a server-side copy. Only the minimum
selected fields described below are relayed transiently when you ask for an
AI analysis.
- Ingredient lists during analysis — when you request a fit
analysis or an ingredient explanation, the product's ingredient list together
with anonymized signals from your profile (skin type, concerns, and reaction
summaries — never your name, contact details, or free-form notes) is relayed
through our gateway to an AI provider. Requests are restricted to zero-data-
retention providers, processed only to return the result, and not used to
train AI models. We do not store prompts or responses on our server.
- Pseudonymous usage and purchase events — app opens,
subscription purchase or restore outcomes, subscription state, and the
number of product experiences (never the contents of your skin profile or
reaction notes), used to operate and improve the app.
- Product catalog — the app downloads a shared, public catalog
of products and ingredients from our server. This is a read-only download; no
personal data is attached to it.
What we don't do
- No account or sign-up is required; we do not collect your name, email, or contacts.
- No advertising SDKs, no cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive anonymized purchase state
(e.g. whether a subscription is active) to unlock features, but we never see
your payment details.
Data retention & deletion
Usage data is tied to a random device identifier, not to your name, email, or
Apple ID. Deleting the app removes its local user data. If iOS retains the random
identifier in Keychain, Invime replaces it with a new identifier on the next
installation. You may request deletion of associated analytics records via the
contact below.
