Googogoal Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-06-07

Googogoal (“the App”) is a goal and habit tracker. We respect your privacy and keep data collection to a minimum. This policy explains what we process, why, who we share it with, and the rights you have. It is written to address users in the European Economic Area / UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), as well as users everywhere else.

You use the App without creating an account. The goals and records you enter are, as a rule, stored only on your device.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

For users in the EEA/UK, the above is the data controller for the limited processing described below.

2. Data we process

We do not ask you to register and we do not collect your name, postal address, or phone number. We process:

Category Examples Source
App/analytics identifiers Device identifier used for analytics and subscription entitlement checks Generated automatically while you use the App
Content you create Goal titles and descriptions, habit metrics, check-in records, and the free-text you enter for AI goal suggestions (for example, a description of a fitness or lifestyle goal) Entered by you
Subscription data Subscription product identifier, purchase and renewal status, free-trial status (payment-card details are handled by Apple and never collected by the App) Collected during purchase
Usage data Feature events, screen navigation, paywall interactions, app version, OS version, language setting, and approximate location inferred from IP/network information Collected automatically while you use the App

We do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, so App Tracking Transparency does not apply.

Your goals and records are stored locally on your device by default. The free-text you submit to the AI suggestion feature is sent to third parties as described in Section 4.

Purpose Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Provide and operate the goal/habit tracker Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Generate AI goal suggestions from your free-text Performance of a contract / your consent where required (Art. 6(1)(b)/(a))
Process subscriptions and verify premium access Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Analytics to improve the App and diagnose errors Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))

4. Who we share data with (processors / service providers)

We share data only with the service providers needed to run the App. Each acts on our behalf under a data processing agreement.

Recipient Purpose Data shared
Supabase, Inc. AI request handling and server functionality AI recommendation request data and technical request information
Amplitude, Inc. Product analytics Device identifier, usage data, app version, OS version, language setting, approximate location inferred from IP/network information
RevenueCat, Inc. Subscription billing and entitlement management Subscription product identifier, purchase/renewal status
OpenRouter, Inc. (gateway) / Google LLC / OpenAI, L.L.C. Generate AI goal suggestions by sending your free-text to a large language model Free-text for AI suggestions, category, and locale

When you use the AI suggestion feature, the free-text you typed is sent through OpenRouter to a Google Gemini or OpenAI model. We do not send an account ID or other direct identifiers with it.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.

5. International data transfers

Our service providers operate servers in the United States and other countries, so your data is transferred internationally. Where required for EEA/UK users, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can review each provider’s safeguards in their own privacy policies.

6. How long we keep data

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of sale/sharing (note: we do not sell or share your data).

You can view, edit, and delete most of your data directly inside the App, or by deleting the App. For any other request, contact us at googogoal@gmail.com. EEA/UK users may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 14 (or the minimum age set by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

9. Automated AI processing

The AI goal-suggestion feature sends the free-text you enter to an external large language model (Google Gemini or an OpenAI model) to automatically generate measurable goal metrics. Suggestions are advisory; you choose which goals and metrics to use. No user identifier is sent during this process.

10. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) to communicate with our service providers, apply row-level security on backend data, and minimize collection by operating without accounts or direct identifiers.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the law or the service changes. We will post the updated version in the App or on our public policy page.
